Applitank LLC (“Applitank,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) operates applitank.com and Applitank Publisher, our private tool for publishing original educational videos to Applitank’s YouTube channel. This policy explains the information we access, collect, store, use and share through the website and that app, and how to withdraw access or request deletion. Independent Applitank products have their own privacy information.
Information we collect
When you visit our website, we may automatically collect basic technical information such as:
- Your IP address
- Browser type and version
- Pages you visit and the time/date of your visit
We do not collect personally identifiable information (such as your name or email) unless you choose to provide it through a contact form or by reaching out to us directly.
How we use information
We use the information collected to:
- Operate and improve our website
- Monitor site traffic and security
- Respond to inquiries you send us
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
Third party information
If our site embeds third-party content (e.g., maps, videos, or social media links), those providers may collect information according to their own privacy policies.
Applitank Publisher and Google data
Applitank Publisher uses YouTube API Services. It is restricted to authorized Applitank channel operators; visiting this website does not connect your Google account. An operator expressly grants access through Google’s OAuth authorization screen. We do not receive or store Google account passwords.
The app requests permission to upload videos and to read YouTube account information. It accesses and stores only the information needed for its current publishing tasks:
- Connection information: OAuth access and refresh tokens, granted permissions and authorization time, so the app can perform authorized tasks and renew its connection.
- Channel identity: the selected channel’s ID, name and handle, to verify that uploads go to Applitank’s channel.
- Publishing records: IDs returned for uploaded videos, upload-session information, privacy and processing status, timestamps and success or failure information, to confirm uploads and avoid duplicates.
- Original publishing material: Applitank’s quiz scripts, narration, curated images, rendered videos, titles, descriptions, audience settings and source references supplied for upload.
Although the read permission covers YouTube account information, the app’s implemented use is channel identification and upload checks. It does not collect viewers’ identities, comments, private messages, viewing history, contacts, Gmail or Google Drive files. It does not download other creators’ videos. Google’s handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Publishing data use and sharing
We use Google data only to identify the authorized channel, upload approved material under the owner’s chosen visibility and schedule, check the result, renew authorization and investigate publishing failures. We do not sell or rent your personal information, use Google data for targeted advertising, or provide it to data brokers. Applitank Publisher’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Google receives the authorization requests and uploaded videos with their publishing metadata. Authorized Applitank personnel and service providers acting on our behalf may process information only to operate, secure or support the service, or where disclosure is required by law. Our hosting provider, DigitalOcean, hosts protected application configuration and operational records. Cloudflare provides website security and private object storage for original editorial assets, rendered videos and production manifests.
OpenAI processes original quiz scripts and source material to help prepare questions and narration. The publishing app does not send Google OAuth tokens, channel-account responses or YouTube API records to OpenAI, and does not use Google user data to train AI models. Original editorial material is distinct from data obtained through Google APIs. We do not allow third-party advertising inside the publishing tool.
Retention, revocation and deletion
We keep protected connection credentials and channel configuration while the authorized publishing connection is needed. Authorization and channel identity are checked when the app connects. Stored upload IDs, privacy results and upload-session metadata are removed from the active job ledger within 30 days. Original Applitank editorial assets and records of which original quiz was used may be retained for content management and duplicate prevention; these do not require retaining Google account data.
You can withdraw the app’s access at any time through Google Account connections. Revocation prevents further authorized access. You can also email legal@applitank.com to disconnect Applitank Publisher, request a copy of your information, or request deletion of information held by Applitank. We verify the requester’s authority and process valid deletion requests as soon as possible, within seven calendar days. This includes the connection credentials and associated stored Google data under our control.
Deleting information from Applitank does not delete videos or other data held by YouTube. The channel owner can manage or delete those videos in YouTube Studio. Revoking access does not by itself remove already published videos. We may retain information independently required by law, with access restricted to that purpose.
Your rights
If you are a California resident, you have the right under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) to request information about the personal data we collect, request deletion of your data, or opt out of its sale (we do not sell data).
